Description
Spring feels like it’s just starting to tease us, colour vitally needed in our gardens. But what about a splash of colour all year round? Do you fancy making a stained glass ladder to keep that vibrancy going come rain or shine?
Create a ladder measuring 80cm tall in a sturdy zinc frame, ready for you to take home and display in your garden. All materials and tuition are included, and at the end of our 2-3 hour workshop you will have your very own masterpiece.
Learn how to cut glass, work with lead and solder to bring your design to life. This class is suitable for all abilities including those who have never even dreamed of trying to cut glass for themselves. It’s really not that scary! Tea, coffee and cold drinks are available and included in the cost of your workshop. If you have chosen a full day workshop, please bring a packed lunch.
Health and Safety
Health and safety guidance is given throughout the day, but all tasks are undertaken at your own risk. We advise you to wear old clothes, fully enclosed shoes, and tie back long hair. Please avoid wearing scarves or floaty materials. Windows will be open so if the weather is not favourable please bring layers. If you use reading glasses, please bring them. You will work with lead chemicals, sharp glass and heat throughout. Failure to follow safety guidance may see your workshop terminated without refund.
Directions
All workshops are held in our custom built studio at 14 St Bartholomews Close, Cam, GL11 5UR.
To find it turn off Manor Ave onto Shutehay Drive, take the 2nd turning on the right then the next right. The house with the steep drive at the end of the cul-de-sac is no. 14. The gate to the right side will be open, please come on through, the studio is at the top of the garden, you can’t miss it.
Street parking is available.
Please also be aware that access to the studio is via a steep driveway, and nine steps.
